It has been such a helpful exercise that of rendering simple forms like a sphere and a cylinder... I still can soften and blend things to get them smoother, but I got the the basic values more or less there.

Still Life Oil painting study. I have been doing my studies in oils lately, I feel I learn much more this way.

That's pretty nice man! I've wanted to paint with oils for a long time, haven't been able to get any though.
